Though the hot summer days are dwindling away and the thought of vacation is in the far distance, we can always escape to another place with a good read. Our school year is off to a great start and I've seen many teachers incorporating the new theme of "Around the World" into their lessons. Students have taken "trips" around the world, by visiting the different continents in different hallways. I know that after some exploring around the building some students may have questions and interests they wish to learn about now.  As a parent you may ask yourself, how can I help my child answer these questions, or explore at home? There are some amazing read aloud options for car rides, or make a nightly routine of picking a continent and then read a story about it.

I'm going to reuse the link from the a previous post that has great classics categorized by the continent setting.  All off these stories are searchable on YouTube too!

Lastly I have a great YouTube read aloud of "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" by Dr. Seuss.

Happy reading!
