MRs. Harris

 or Hello!

My name is Megan Carpenter-Harris (Mrs. Harris), this is my sixth year at FES and teaching.  I have taught 2nd, and 4th/5th grade (Reading).  I have been the STEAM/Robotics coach, STLP coach, Asst. Track Coach  Cursive Club sponsor,  School Technology Coordinator & Access 24.  I am very excited to continue as the RTA teacher for K-3 students.

I am a local and graduated with my Masters in Education from Bellarmine University in 2015.  I have a great passion for struggling readers because I too was one in elementary school. In second grade I was identified with Dyslexia.  I was privileged to attend The dePaul School in Louisville, where I proceeded onto Assumption High School.  I completed my Bachelors degree in Communications and Fine Art.  I worked at The Voice Tribune for awhile before realizing I needed a change. Then I returned to Bellarmine where I found my career calling.

When I'm not at school I love being with my family. I am the proud momma of the sweetest little boys in the world, Sawyer & Lawson.   I spend most of my time trying to keep up with them, & my two fur babies (Remi & Teddi), and my husband of 9 years Brandon. We enjoy being outside, being adventurous and traveling. We are also huge Louisville Cardinal fans, as well as St.Louis Cardinal baseball fans.

If you ever have a question or concern please feel free to email me and I will try to get back to you within a day.
